In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.11, Antofagasta plc (the "Company") announces that, with effect from 25 January 2012, the Audit and Risk Committee of the Board is comprised as follows:

• Mr. Timothy Baker; and

• Mr. M L ("Ollie") De Sousa-Oliveira.

Mr. Juan Claro therefore rotates off the Audit and Risk Committee.
