Change of Name

The Board of the Company is pleased to announce that the Company has changed its name from Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc to Franklin Global Trust plc and a certificate of incorporation on the change of name is being issued.

Following the announcement in January 2025 by Franklin Templeton that the Martin Currie brand will retire in 2025 the Board of the Company has decided that, after careful consideration, the name of the Company should reflect the Franklin brand. 

The change of name and the change of Tradable Instrument Display Mnemonic ("TIDM") from MNP to FRGT will take effect on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange from 7.00am on or around 16 April 2025. In conjunction with the change of name, the Company's website address will shortly change to www.franklinglobaltrust.com.

The ISIN and SEDOL numbers for the Company's ordinary shares are unchanged as GB0005372411 and 0537241. Shareholders are unaffected by the changes and existing share certificates remain valid and should be retained.
