Change of Name

Alecto Minerals plc, the AIM listed resource company, announces that following shareholder approval obtained at the Annual General Meeting held on 23 May 2011, the Company's name change from Alecto Energy plc to Alecto Minerals plc has taken effect.

Shareholders are advised that existing share certificates in the name of Alecto Energy plc will remain valid, and that any new share certificates which are issued by the Company will be issued in the name of Alecto Minerals plc.
