Change of Name

The Board of Directors of Volex Group plc ('Volex' or the 'Company'), the global provider of electrical, digital and optical connections, announces that the Company's name has been changed to Volex plc.

Following shareholder approval at the annual general meeting on 25th July to change the Company's name, the Board submitted the required application to Companies House to accept the removal of the word "Group" in the Company's name.

The change of name has become effective as Companies House has issued the certificate of incorporation on change of name.

The Company will continue to be traded under the ticker VLX and is expected to trade under its new name from 08:00am on 12 August 2011.
