Base Resources Limited (ASX & AIM: BSE) ("Base Resources") advises that it has today received the following notification.

Washington H. Soul Pattinson and Company Limited (“WHSP”) has notified the company that its interest in Base Resources’ total shares on issue has decreased from 5.45% to 4.5%. WHSP has notified that it has a relevant interest in all shares in which Pengana Capital Group Limited (formerly Hunter Hall International Limited) (“Pengana”) has a relevant interest, by virtue of WHSP having voting power of more than 20% in Pengana. The decrease of WHSP’s interest in Base Resources consisted of the disposal by Pengana of 7,000,000 shares on 31 May 2017 at an average of approximately A$0.29 per share.
