Change of Severstal's Corporate Secretary

Moscow, Russia - January 17, 2014 - OAO Severstal (MICEX-RTS: CHMF; LSE: SVST), one of the world's leading vertically integrated steel and steel-related mining companies, announces that Oleg Tsvetkov is stepping down as Corporate Secretary of the Company. The Board of Directors approved the resignation and thanked Oleg for his commitment and hard work during his time with the Company.

The Company also announces that the Board of Directors appointed Artem Bobulich as Corporate Secretary of Severstal. Artem has been working in the Company's Corporate Secretary Team since 2007. The appointment will be effective from 20 January 2014.
