Change of auditor

BG Group plc ("BG Group") announces that following a competitive tender process it proposes to appoint Ernst & Young LLP as auditor of BG Group and its subsidiaries commencing with the 2013 financial year. The appointment will be subject to shareholder approval at the BG Group 2013 Annual General Meeting.

PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP have been BG Group's auditors since its incorporation. PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, in addition to other firms, were involved in the tender process.

The Board of BG Group would like to thank PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP for the high quality of audit services provided to the Group.
