Phoenix Group Holdings plc to propose the appointment of KPMG LLP as its new auditor from 2024

 

Phoenix Group Holdings plc (the "Company" or "Phoenix") announces its intention to appoint KPMG LLP ("KPMG") as its auditor for the financial year ending 31 December 2024, subject to shareholder approval at the 2024 Annual General Meeting. 

 

KPMG's proposed appointment has been approved by Phoenix's Board and follows an extensive and thorough tender process overseen by the Company's Board Audit Committee.

 

KPMG will replace Ernst & Young ("EY") who were unable to participate in the tender process due to their tenure, in accordance with mandatory audit firm rotation requirements. EY will continue in its role as Phoenix's external auditor for financial periods up to 31 December 2023 subject to reappointment by the Company's shareholders at the 2022 and 2023 Annual General Meetings.
