PLC21 October 2005 F W THORPE PLC APPOINTMENT OF SPONSOR AND MOVE TO AIM The Directors are pleased to announce the appointment of Brewin DolphinSecurities (Birmingham) as the Company's Sponsor and Financial Adviser withimmediate effect. In addition, the Board, after careful consideration, proposes to move thetrading of the Company's shares from the Official List of the UK ListingAuthority to the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange plc("AIM"). The Board considers that AIM would provide a regulatory framework moreappropriate to a company of F W Thorpe's size. A circular explaining the implications of the move to AIM and giving notice ofan extraordinary general meeting to approve a resolution for the de-listing ofthe Company's shares from the Official List will be sent to shareholders in thenear future.
