Change in Director Responsibilities

The Governor and Company of the Bank of Ireland ("Bank of Ireland")

Bank of Ireland announces the appointment of Mr Patrick Kennedy as Chairman of the Court Risk Committee of Bank of Ireland replacing Mr Tom Considine who will remain as a Committee member.

Mr Kennedy has also been appointed to the Group Audit Committee and will step down from the Group Remuneration Committee.

The above changes are effective from 27 July 2016.

This disclosure is made in accordance with paragraph 6.6.5 (3) of the Listing Rules.
