Aviva PLC11 August 2006 News release 11 August 2006 AVIVA ANNOUNCES CHANGE TO EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES Aviva plc ("Aviva"), the savings, investment and insurance group, announcestoday that, as a result of the proposed acquisition of AmerUs Group Co. in theUSA which will increase the size of the group's international operationssignificantly, Philip Scott, executive director, Aviva International, will, from1 September 2006, focus on the further development of Aviva's businesses inNorth America and Asia Pacific. He will also retain responsibility for theworld-wide operations of Morley Fund Management. Philip's responsibility for Aviva's continental European operations will betransferred to Tidjane Thiam, currently managing director, Aviva International,who will become chief executive Aviva Europe, and will join Aviva's executivecommittee. Richard Harvey, group chief executive of Aviva plc, said: "Philip's new rolereflects the group's determination to capitalise on the significant growthopportunity provided by the recently announced AmerUs acquisition and the longerterm potential of Asia.
