Chairman designate

Rexam PLC announced on 17 November 2011 that Mr Stuart Chambers would be appointed as a non executive director and Chairman Designate of Rexam PLC on 1 February 2012. As previously stated, Mr Chambers is a non executive director of Tesco PLC, The Manchester Airport Group PLC and Smiths Group plc.

This announcement confirms that there are no further matters to disclose in accordance with paragraph 9.6.13 of the FSA's Listing Rules.

Additionally, on 23 November 2011 Stuart Chambers purchased 30,000 Rexam ordinary shares at a price of £3.318 per share through the London Stock Exchange. The shares will be registered in the name of Pershing Securities Limited and comprise his total beneficial share interest in the Company.
