Launch of Cello's Talking Taboos Results & Recommendations
Cello Group plc (AIM: CLL), the health focused insight and strategic marketing Group, is launching the results of its social responsibility programme 'Talking Taboos'.
Talking Taboos is a campaigning brand that aims to tackle health and social issues using Cello's experience and resources in the healthcare space. It will focus on areas where embarrassment, fear or ignorance prevents sufferers from seeking help.
On October 23 2012, Cello will reveal the results of a ground-breaking yearlong research study working in partnership with YoungMinds, the UK's leading children and young people's mental health and wellbeing charity. The research used a suite of services including advanced qualitative research, professional online community forums, social media discourse research integrated with a nationally representative quantitative sample of 2,500. It explores perceptions of young people who self-harm and whether they are receiving the help they so desperately need.
The study demonstrates Cello's expertise in the health sector and its commitment to stimulating discourse around pressing health and social issues. The Group has pooled its extensive knowledge and expertise with specific audiences, healthcare professionals, GP's, young people, teachers and parents to contribute to a 'whole community' view. In conjunction with YoungMinds, it will form the basis for a series of clear recommendations on how to relieve the suffering and distress experienced by those affected. Cello's communications team, led by Leith Group's Stripe Communications, will manage the media launch, targeting mainstream and health professional press as well as relevant online and social media channels. It will provide context for the growing national debate around self-harm and offer guidance and recommendations on how to better support those affected. The programme is being led by Vincent Nolan, Managing Partner of Cello Group and Founder of 2CV.
Mark Scott, Cello Group CEO, said:
"Talking Taboos is a great opportunity for us to show our ability to contribute to the wider social health debate by utilising our expertise in the Health sector and our market leading research and communications capabilities.
"It is also an ideal way for our companies to demonstrate their abilities and talents and work across the Group to deliver a comprehensive integrated project that will inform the way that self-harm is handled."
