IMI plc, the global engineering group, is hosting this afternoon a capital markets event for investors and analysts in London with presentations on its niche markets and their importance to the Group's growth strategy.

No new information on current trading will be provided during the capital markets event. IMI will issue its next interim management statement on 16 November 2012.
