HYDRODEC GROUP PLC ("Hydrodec" or the "Company")
CANTON, OHIO PLANT OFFICIALLY OPENED
Hydrodec is pleased to announce that its new oil refinery in Canton, Ohio was officially opened by the Mayor of Canton yesterday. The plant will recycle spent transformer oil and convert it into new SUPERfine transformer oil and has capacity of 8 million US gallons (30,240,000 litres) per year. The 22,000 square foot plant will provide up to 35 jobs in the area.
Hydrodec chose Canton because it is centrally located, within 500 miles of the largest utility users in the US, and because of its favourable environment for businesses.
"We are thrilled that Hydrodec chose to build their new facility right here in Canton," said Canton Mayor William Healy who officially opened the plant. "We've worked hard to reinvigorate our manufacturing industries here, and Hydrodec is a great example of the success of our efforts. We're looking forward to helping them succeed in their efforts to reduce pollution and carbon emissions, decrease dependency on imported oil and lower costs for utilities across our country."
Chairman, John Gunn commented further, "We are delighted that Canton has now been officially opened with commercial operations already underway and we are looking forward to making our first customer deliveries imminently. The reception of Hydrodec in the US has been extremely positive and we look forward to supplying key transformer manufacturers and utilities with SUPERfine. My thanks go to all the team for their efforts in ensuring that the Canton plant was constructed on time, without any injuries and with significant pre-sold commitments."
