The following amendments have been made to the 'Cancellation of Treasury Shares' announcement released on 26 August 2009 at 14:39 under RNS No 0462Y.

In the second paragraph " EFG-Hermes issued capital to be decreased from EGP 1,939,320,000 to EGP 1,913,570,000" the words million should be replaced with the words billion.

Cancellation of Treasury Shares

Further to EFG-Hermes Holding Company's Extraordinary General Assembly Meeting's resolution on 7th April 2009 approving the cancellation of 5,150,000 shares (only five million one hundred and fifty thousand shares) representing treasury shares, please note that the Listing Committee in the Egyptian Stock Exchange has approved the cancellation of shares. Accordingly, as of the trading session on Thursday 27th August 2009 the following will take effect.

1. EFG-Hermes issued capital to be decreased from EGP 1,939,320,000 (EGP one billion nine hundred and thirty nine million and three hundred and twenty thousand only) to EGP 1,913,570,000 (EGP one billion nine hundred and thirteen million and five hundred and seventy thousand only) through cancellation of 5,150,000 shares (only five million one hundred and fifty thousand shares) representing treasury shares;

2. Total outstanding shares (issued and paid-in) to become 382,714,000 shares (three hundred and eighty two million seven hundred and fourteen thousand shares) with a par of EGP 5/share.
