Cancellation of Listing of Capital Securities

The Company has notified holders of 7.90 per cent. perpetual subordinated capital securities ("Capital Securities") of its intention to redeem all outstanding Capital Securities, together with all accrued interest, on 29 May 2013. Application will be made to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock Exchange for the cancellation of the listing of the Capital Securities on the Official List and from trading on the London Stock Exchange's gilt-edged and fixed interest market with effect from 8.00 a.m. on 30 May 2013.
