SMG PLC02 October 2007 SMG plc2 October 2007 CANCELLATION OF LISTING - 6.5% Convertible Unsecured Loan Stock SMG Plc ('the Company') announces that, following the application to the UKListing Authority for the de-listing of its 6.5% Convertible Unsecured LoanStock ("CULs") from the Official List and the application to the London StockExchange for the cancellation of admission to trading of the CULs on the LondonStock Exchange's market for listed securities, the listing of the CULs on the UKListing Authority's Official List has been cancelled and the CULs ceased tradingon the London Stock Exchange's market for listed securities, in each case witheffect from 8 a.m. on 2 October 2007. This follows a round of refinancing by the Company which has resulted in therepayment to CULs holders of amounts outstanding in relation to 22,515,155 CULsand the redemption and cancellation of the CULs in accordance with their terms.
