Cancellation of Listing of Capital Securities - Amendment

The Company has notified holders of 7.90 per cent. perpetual subordinated capital securities ("Capital Securities") of its intention to redeem all outstanding Capital Securities, together with all accrued interest, on 29 May 2013. Application will be made to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock Exchange for the cancellation of the listing of the Capital Securities on the Official List and from trading on the London Stock Exchange's gilt-edged and fixed interest market with effect from 8.00 a.m. on 5 June 2013.

This announcement replaces the Company's announcement relating to the cancellation of listing of Capital Securities made on 1 May 2013.
