Series 1 £300,000,000 Floating Rate Covered Bonds due 15 February 2012 (ISIN: XS0395636227/Common Code: 039563622) (the "Covered Bonds") issued under the €7,000,000,000 Global Covered Bond Programme of the Issuer

NOTICE OF CANCELLATION OF THE COVERED BONDS

NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Issuer has fully cancelled the Covered Bonds on 28th June 2011 (the "Cancellation Date"). Accordingly the Issuer has requested:

(a) the London Stock Exchange to cancel the listing of the Covered Bonds on the Official List with effect from the Cancellation Date or as soon as permitted after that date; and

(b) the London Stock Exchange to cancel the admission of the Covered Bonds to trading on the London Stock Exchange with effect from the Cancellation Date or as soon as permitted after that date.
