Cable & Wireless agrees sale of Allnet Ltd. to Computacenter
Cable & Wireless has agreed to sell Cable & Wireless Allnet Ltd. to Computacenter UK Ltd, it was announced today.
Allnet is the in-premises cabling services (LAN) division of Cable & Wireless with gross assets amounting to ‚£17 million and net assets of ‚£6 million. The financial impact of the disposal will not be material to Cable & Wireless.
Separately, the two companies have entered into a master services agreement which sees Computacenter as a preferred supplier of LAN services to Cable & Wireless in the UK, combining Allnet's offering with the broader services capability offered by Computacenter.
These moves are part of the ongoing transformation of Cable & Wireless' UK business and its mission to deliver excellent levels of service to its large corporate and public sector customers.
With all 168 people currently working for Allnet transferring to Computacenter, the two companies will be able to leverage their combined skills and resources and offer additional functionality to customers.
