First TETRA OEM distributors signed and production commences
SRT is pleased to announce that it's wholly owned subsidiary, SRT PMR Technology Limited, has completed its first pilot production run of its own OEM TETRA handset and signed its first OEM Distributors.
In 2007, SRT announced that it would launch its own TETRA handset which would be sold to distributors customised for their local target markets and branded as their own. The SRT TETRA Handset (TC-100 GPS) is built around the SRT core TETRA technology and enables the Company to target global markets which are not actively targeted by its existing Asian based license customers.
The first pilot production took place at the company's contract manufacturer in Ireland and has proven SRT's ability to produce high quality products for use by PMR users world-wide. In addition SRT PMR has now signed several OEM distributor agreements, delivered the first handsets, and is in active negotiation with many others around the world.
Simon Tucker, SRT Group Managing Director said; "The team at SRT PMR Technology has performed brilliantly to create this product and get it into production in under 12 months. A TETRA handset is a complex product which needs to work reliably in the most challenging operational environments; therefore good design and manufacturing quality are essential and we have delivered. As our OEM distributor base grows (and increases their end-user marketing activity) we expect traction in the form of orders for our handset to grow."
