Business update
Appointment of Interim CFO
CAP-XX Limited (AIM: CPX), a world leader in the design and manufacture of thin, prismatic supercapacitors and energy management systems, is pleased to provide an update for the five-month period ended 30 May 2025. The Company is also pleased to announce the appointment of a new Interim Chief Financial Officer.
Commercial Highlights
The Company has maintained a strong cash position as a result of cost-saving initiatives and an ongoing emphasis on operational performance and efficiency. Cash as at 31 May 2025 was AUD 4.2 million (AUD 5.0 million as at 31 January 2025). The Company will also be applying for an R&D tax credit shortly after year end (30 June 2025) as usual.
The Company has successfully shipped the first batch of its co-branded supercapacitor products to SCHURTER Group's warehouse. This shipment marks a significant milestone in CAP-XX's strategic partnership and extends the Company's product reach into global industrial and electronics markets. The SCHURTER Group funded the strategic partnership onboarding process.
The Company has also signed several key distribution agreements in the period including:
· A global distribution agreement with Farnell Global (Avnet);
· A master distribution agreement with Waldom Electronics; and
· A franchise distribution agreement with JM elektronik sp. z o.o.
These partnerships, alongside those with DigiKey and SCHURTER, are significantly strengthening CAP-XX's global channel presence and customer engagement. The Company's new commercially focused website supports lead generation through technical resources, distributor contacts, and a streamlined quote request system, all designed to drive sales and strategic partnership growth. Additional distribution agreements remain in negotiation and are progressing positively.
The Company was also pleased to report an important technology design win, with multiple further opportunities in active development. These highlight the growing demand for CAP-XX's high-performance energy storage solutions and their applicability in a wide range of next-generation electronics.
Interim CFO Appointment
CAP-XX is pleased to announce the appointment of Anthony Guarna as Interim Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Mr Guarna replaces Ariel Sivikofsky, who is stepping down to pursue an executive development program as part of his career progression.
Mr Guarna brings over 30 years of senior financial leadership experience across M&A, audit, governance advisory, and financial management. He has held senior financial positions including as CFO of a number of ASX listed entities including EZZ Life Science Holdings Limited (EZZ), Aumake Limited (AUK), and Freedom Insurance Group Limited (FIG). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting, Finance & Systems, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment, and is a Chartered Accountant.
