Stagecoach Group PLC10 August 2005 10 August 2005 STAGECOACH INVESTS IN NEW BUSES FOR MERSEYSIDE Stagecoach Group plc announced today (10 August 2005) that its recently acquiredMerseyside bus operations are to benefit from a multi-million-pound investmentin new vehicles. A £6.5 million fleet of 75 state-of-the art low-floor buses will be introducedon services formerly operated by Glenvale Transport Limited only a few monthsafter Stagecoach bought the business. The first 30 vehicles - scheduled for delivery in September and October - arepart of a Stagecoach UK Bus order announced earlier this year. The remainingbuses, to be introduced in February and March 2006, form a new £3.9 millionorder with Alexander Dennis. Stagecoach has now placed orders for nearly 600 new vehicles for its UK busoperations in 2005-06, with a total value of more than £60 million.
