BSS Group Plc - Partial Lapse of Letter of Intent

Lapse of Letter of Intent: Offer by Travis Perkins plc for BSS Group plc

On 01 July 2010, Schroder Investment Management Limited provided a letter of intent regarding our intention to vote in relation to the proposal with regard to 22,117,189 shares.

Since then, notifications have been made in accordance with The City Code on Takeovers and Mergers, Rule 2.11 (d)(i), advising that we had disposed of 1,557,035 shares, reducing the number of share that are subject to the letter of intent to 20,560,154.

In accordance with The City Code on Takeovers and Mergers, Rule 2.11 (d)(i), we advise that we have disposed of the following shares and are no longer in a position to accept or procure the acceptance of the Offer, in relation to those shares;

·; 01 September 2010 - sale 43,518 shares

Our intention in respect of 20,516,636 shares, being the remainder, remains as described in our Letter of Intent.
