Costain Group PLC09 June 2005 Costain Group PLC ("Costain") Preferred Partner for Bristol Water Costain announces that it has been selected by Bristol Water as its preferredpartner on its AMP4 programme under a five year framework agreement. The programme will include Bristol Water's treatment works, reservoirs, trunkmains and pumping station improvements. The capital value of the contract toCostain and its supply chain partners, Purac and Black and Veatch Consulting, isapproximately £50 million over the five year period, subject to performancereviews. The selection as preferred partner follows an extensive tendering process byBristol Water and final selection was based on Costain's ability to deliver longterm service quality to Bristol Water's customers.
