Board Restructuring
Noricum Gold Limited, the Austrian focussed gold exploration and development company, is pleased to announce that Roderick McIllree has been appointed to the Board as Non-Executive Director with immediate effect. Additionally, in line with the Company's extensive exploration plans for the coming year, Jeremy Whybrow, previously Non-Executive Director, has been appointed as Exploration Director.
Mr. McIllree graduated from Curtin University of Technology in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree (Mineral Exploration and Mining Geology) and commenced a career in the mining industry where he worked for major mining companies both domestically and internationally, gaining experience in all facets of mining. In 2000, Mr. McIllree moved into the finance sector and worked as a mining analyst and adviser for broking houses active in capital markets. He has experience in international capital raisings having initiated several successful mining companies with assets in a variety of jurisdictions including Medusa Mining Limited, Anvil Mining Limited, and Kingsrose Mining Limited. Roderick is currently the Managing Director of ASX listed Greenland Minerals and Energy Ltd, a company he founded in 2007. Roderick has also served as a technical adviser to Noricum Gold for the last eighteen months.
Noricum Gold Managing Director Greg Kuenzel said, "Rod's technical experience has been a huge asset to the Company to date, adding significant value to our 171 sq km gold and precious metal portfolio in Austria, and particularly at Rotgülden where we have seen exciting bonanza gold and silver grades from work performed over the past 18 months. I am delighted to welcome him to the Board as Non-Executive Director and I look forward to working further with him as we progress our flagship project to resource status.
