Update on Board responsibilities

JD Wetherspoon plc ("JD Wetherspoon" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the following changes to the responsibilities of the Company's Board of Directors with immediate effect.

Elizabeth McMeikan will become the Senior Independent Non-Executive Director, Mark Reckitt will become Chair of the Audit Committee and Sir Richard Beckett will become Chair of the Nominations Committee. Debra van Gene continues in her role as Chair of the Remuneration Committee.
