BOARD RECOMPOSITION

Greene King today announces that it is changing the composition of its board of directors with effect from 30 April 2010 to reflect, and align with, recent appointments to the company.

Greene King currently has five divisional managing directors. Those appointed recently have not joined the Board, so the company has two managing directors who are members of the Greene King plc board and three who are not. In order to achieve parity in the management structure, the decision has been taken for Justin Adams and Jonathan Lawson to step down from the board whilst retaining their existing management responsibilities for Brewing Company and Local Pubs respectively.

Following the changes Greene King's plc board of directors will consist of Tim Bridge (Non-executive chairman), Rooney Anand (Chief executive), John Brady (Independent non-executive director), Ian Bull (Finance director), Ian Durant (Independent non-executive director), Norman Murray (Senior independent non-executive director) and Jane Scriven (independent non-executive director).
