MFI Furniture Group PLC16 October 2006 16 October 2006 MFI Furniture Group Plc - Board changes MFI Furniture Group Plc confirms the appointment of Will Samuel as Chairman withimmediate effect. As previously announced, he was appointed on 20 July 2006 asChairman-designate with a view to succeeding Ian Peacock following a plannedtransition. As separately announced, the disposal of the Retail business hasbeen approved by shareholders at the Extraordinary General Meeting held todayand following that successful outcome, Ian Peacock will step down from the Boardwith immediate effect. The Company also confirms the appointment of Angus Cockburn as a Non ExecutiveDirector with immediate effect. Angus Cockburn has been Group Finance Directorof Aggreko PLC since 2000, having previously been Managing Director of Pringleof Scotland and Regional Finance Director Central Europe for Pepsico Foods. Heis a Chartered Accountant and qualified with KPMG Peat Marwick. Commenting on the appointments, Will Samuel said "The Board is grateful to IanPeacock for steering the Company through its recent changes and to the thresholdof its new strategic direction. I am pleased that Angus Cockburn is joining theBoard at this key point in the Company's development as it exits from the Retailbusiness and moves forward to expand its successful Howden operation.
