Elementis PLC09 August 2005 9 August 2005 ELEMENTIS PLC BOARD CHANGES Elementis plc (LSE:ELM), today announces that the Company's Chief ExecutiveOfficer, Geoff Gaywood, has resigned his position, and will step down from theBoard with immediate effect. Edward Bramson, currently non-executive Chairman of Elementis, will becomeExecutive Chairman, and continue the group-wide strategic review that iscurrently underway, the results of which are expected to be announced during thesecond half of this year. The Board reiterates the statement made in the recent announcement of theCompany's interim results for the half year ended 30 June 2005 that excludingany changes that may result from the Board's review, the Company's currenttrading performance is in line with its expectations for continued improvementin the second half of the year.
