Board Changes
29 January 2020
Wameja (LSE: WJA.L & ASX: WJA.AX), a joint venture partner with Mastercard in the HomeSend global payment hub, announces the following changes to its Board of Directors and senior management with immediate effect.
As announced at the time of the sale of the Core Business in July 2019, the Company has continued to look to reduce its cost base, including the reduction of Board and management expenses. As a result of this review, John Conoley ceases in his executive role but remains on the Board as Non-Executive Chairman. James Hume concurrently steps down as Executive Director but remains on the Board as a Non-Executive Director.
John Conoley and James Hume both will remain as the Company's representatives on the HomeSend board.
The Company also announces that Matt Richardson has ceased as joint Company Secretary and General Counsel and Alison Cheek has ceased as VP Communications. Tom Rowe remains as Company Secretary.
These changes result in all executive and management functions being assumed by the Board and Company Secretary. The Remuneration and Nomination Committee has been dissolved.
John Conoley, Non-Executive Chairman of the Company, said:
"On behalf of the Board I would like to thank Matt and Alison for their contributions to the Company during their time here and wish them the very best for the future."
