Board Changes
Firestone Diamonds plc (AIM: FDI), is pleased to announce that Ms Eileen Carr will be joining the Board as a Non-Executive Director effective 1 May 2019. Ms Carr replaces Mr Paul Sobie who the Board would like to thank for his considerable input since being appointed in 2011, and the role he played in guiding the company through a transformational period that included the successful funding, development and now steady-state operation of the company's flagship Liqhobong Diamond Mine in Lesotho.
Ms Eileen Carr - Non-Executive Director
Ms Carr is a Chartered Certified Accountant who has over 30 years' resources industry experience overseeing large scale mining operations across the world including the Freda Rebecca gold mine in Zimbabwe, the Ayanfuri gold mine in Ghana, the Kalsaka gold mine in Burkina Faso and the Angovia gold mine in Ivory Coast. Ms Carr began her career in the resources sector at Cluff Oil Holdings followed by Marc Rich Holdings (now Glencore) where she held the position of business manager. Since then, she has gone on to serve as Finance Director or Non-Executive Director at several companies in the resources sector, and was Chief Financial Officer at both AIM listed Monterrico Metals plc and Alexander Mining plc.
Ms Carr is currently a Non-Executive Director of Sylvania Platinum Limited and Bacanora Lithium plc, both of which are listed on AIM. Ms Carr holds an MSc in Management from London University and is a SLOAN fellow of the London Business School.

Background information on Firestone
Firestone is an international diamond mining company with operations in Lesotho. Firestone commenced commercial production in July 2017 at the Liqhobong Diamond Mine. Liqhobong is owned 75% by Firestone and 25% by the Government of Lesotho. Lesotho is one of Africa's significant new diamond producers, hosting Gem Diamonds' Letšeng Mine, Firestone's Liqhobong Mine, Namakwa Diamonds' Kao Mine and Lucapa's Mothae Mine.

On 2 June 2017, Talvivaara announced that the District Court of Espoo had confirmed Talvivaara's Restructuring Programme.
Ms Carr does not currently hold any shares in the Company.
