Board Changes

Goldenport Holdings Inc. ("Goldenport" or "the Company"), (LSE: GPRT) the international shipping company that owns and operates a fleet of dry bulk and container vessels, announces today several changes to its Board of Directors.

Chris Walton has informed the Company that he wishes to retire from the Board of Goldenport, effective December 31. Mr. Walton has been Non-Executive Chairman since the Company went public in April 2006.

Captain Paris Dragnis has also informed the Company that he wishes to retire from the Board of Goldenport, effective December 31. Captain Paris Dragnis founded the Company and led it as Chief Executive Officer before handing over to John Dragnis in April 2012. He has been an Executive Director and President since then.

Chris Walton, outgoing Chairman of the Company, stated:

"Captain Paris Dragnis and I feel it is an appropriate time to step down and reduce the size of the Board, to bring it in line with the reduced size of the Company's fleet. Whilst the Board will now be smaller the remaining independent director will continue to have key decision-making authority on all major issues pending a review of the appropriate size and constituents of the Board in the first half of next year."

The Board of Goldenport also wishes to announce that Bob Crawley will be assuming the additional responsibilities of Chairman of the Company, as well as Chairman of the remuneration and nomination committees effective December 31. Mr. Crawley has been Senior Independent Director of the Company and Chairman of the audit committee since April 2006.

Bob Crawley, incoming Chairman of the Company, stated:

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Captain Paris Dragnis and Chris Walton for their outstanding commitment and contribution to the Board over the last nine years. The remaining Board members and I face testing challenges posed by the very depressed markets both in the dry cargo and container sectors and we will do our upmost to navigate through these turbulent times."
