Punch Taverns PLC25 January 2007 25 January 2007 PUNCH TAVERNS PLC (the "Company") BOARD CHANGES Punch Taverns plc confirms the following changes to its Board of Directors,effective 24 January 2007: Phil Cox retires as Non-executive Chairman of the Company. Peter Cawdron (63) is appointed Non-executive Chairman of the Company. He haspreviously served as Non-executive Director of Punch since May 2003. Andrew Knight (39) Managing Director, Spirit Group, is appointed Director of theCompany with responsibility for the Managed outlet business. He served for 6years on the Board of Spirit Group as Commercial Director and, following thesale of Spirit Group to Punch Taverns in 2006, was appointed Managing Directorof Spirit Group. No information is required to be disclosed in respect of AndrewKnight pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13 (1) to (6). Phil Dutton (45) is appointed Non-executive Director of the Company. He is alsoappointed to the Audit Committee. Phil was until recently Finance Director ofMatalan plc where he had been since 2002. Prior to this he had worked in variousfinance and IT roles at Asda, joining them in 1990. No information is requiredto be disclosed in respect of Phil Dutton pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13 (1) to(6). Martin Glenn has resigned as a Director of the company. He has served as aNon-executive Director of Punch since September 2004.
