Board Changes
Lookers announces the following changes to the Board of Directors.
Appointment of Executive Director
Peter Jones has been appointed to the Board as an Operations Director. Aged 51, Peter has a number of years experience in the motor industry, the last ten of those in the retail sector. During that time he spent six years as the Chief Executive Officer of CD Bramall plc and most recently as co-owner of Bramall & Jones Limited.
Lookers confirm that there is no further information to be disclosed under the requirements of Listing Rule 9.6.13 in relation to this appointment.
Retirement of Non-Executive Director
As stated in our Preliminary Announcement on 12 March 2008, David Mace retires after serving six years as a Non-Executive Director and did not seek re-appointment at the Annual General Meeting yesterday. The Board would like to thank him for his valuable contribution during that time.
Discussions are at an advanced stage in securing a replacement who will be announced in due course.
Accordingly, John Brown is now the Senior Independent Director.
