Board Changes

Ahead of its Annual General Meeting ("AGM") at 11.00 a.m. today, The People's Operator (AIM: TPOP), the cause-based commercial mobile virtual network operator, announces the following Board changes.

As announced on 25 January 2017, Michael Butler has been appointed as Non-Executive Chairman of the Company. His predecessor, Jimmy Wales, will remain involved with the Company and is offering himself for election as a Non-Executive Director of the Company at today's AGM.

Mark Epstein, Chief Executive Officer, has informed the Board that he is stepping down from his position and from the Board with immediate effect. Mark will remain with the Company on a part-time basis as Co-Founder and SVP of Strategic Partnerships and will concentrate on developing TPO's business to business relationships with a core group of potential alliance partners.

Sam Tillotson, Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed as Acting Chief Executive Officer, reporting to the Board. Sam joined the Company in May 2012 and previously held positions at Blyk and Alcatel-Lucent, where he worked on the development, launch and management of platforms for mobile operators across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Further to the announcement of 22 June 2017, Christian Hernandez Gallardo is stepping down as Non-Executive Director at the AGM.

Michael Butler, Non-Executive Chairman, commented:

We are delighted that he will remain involved with the Company and use his considerable talents to develop business to business relationships with those organisations for whom the TPO business model is extremely attractive. We also thank Jimmy Wales and Christian Hernandez Gallardo for their support and efforts since our IPO in December 2014 and look forward to working closely with Jimmy in the future."

At the AGM today, Michael Butler will make the following statement:

"Since the release of our 2016 Final Results on 22 June 2017, the Company has continued to grow its revenue and subscriber base. We look forward to updating the market with the release of our Interim Results in early September."
