Board Changes and Executive Committee Appointments

BBA Aviation announces the following Board changes and Executive Committee appointments:

Peter Ratcliffe is joining the Board as a non-executive director with immediate effect. He is also joining the Audit and Remuneration Committees. Peter, 60, is a non-executive director of Carnival Corporation and of Carnival plc (formerly P&O Princess Cruises PLC). He has been a director of Carnival Corporation since April 2003 and a director of Carnival plc since October 2000. He was Carnival plc's Chief Executive Officer until April 2003 and from April 2003 to June 2007 he served as Chief Executive Officer of P&O Princess Cruises International encompassing Cunard Line, Ocean Village, P&O Cruises, P&O Cruises Australia, Princess Cruises and Princess Tours. Between 1986 and 1999 he was Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and then President of Princess Cruises, based in Los Angeles, becoming Chief Executive of P&O Princess Cruises PLC, based in London, between 2000 and 2003, following its demerger from P&O Steam Navigation Company. 

As a result of organisational changes reflecting the movement of BBA Aviation from a financial holding company to a focussed aviation services group, Bruce Van Allen steps down from the Board with effect from 8 January 2009, as he takes up a new role as BBA Aviation Group Marketing Director, reporting directly to Simon Pryce, CEO. In this important new role Bruce will be responsible for coordinating, developing and strengthening cross business customer and supplier relationships. Bruce will remain a member of the BBA Aviation Executive Committee and relinquishes his role as President Flight Support.

Michael Sheeringa will join the Group as President Signature Flight Support from Flight Options LLC, where latterly he was Chief Executive Officer. He will report directly to Simon Pryce and will join the BBA Aviation Executive Committee.

Keith Ryan, President and Chief Operating Officer of ASIG, will now report directly to Simon Pryce and will join the BBA Aviation Executive Committee

Peter Ratcliffe has confirmed that he is a director of two other publicly quoted companies, Carnival Corporation and Carnival plc, and that there are no other details to be disclosed under paragraph 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules.
