Board Changes

AVEVA Group plc ('AVEVA'; stock code: AVV), one of the world's leading providers of engineering data and design IT systems, today announces the appointment of Hervé Couturier as a Non Executive Director effective as from 1 April 2010 and the retirement of David Mann as Non Executive Director and Senior Independent Director from the Board at the next Annual General Meeting.

Hervé Couturier has over 25 years experience working in the software sector. He is currently Executive Vice President of the Technology Group at SAP, a position he has held shortly after SAP acquired Business Objects in 2008. In this role, he is responsible for definition and delivery of the entire technology products offering, including product management and product development of the NetWeaver and Business Objects brands. 

From 2002 to 2008, Hervé was Senior Vice President, Products at Business Objects. Between 1998 and 2002 he was Senior Vice President, Products at S1 Corporation in Atlanta, US. Prior to this, he worked at XRT-CERG in Paris and IBM Corporation in Paris.

Hervé is also a Non-Executive Director of SimCorp A/S since 2008. SimCorp A/S is a Copenhagen based leading provider of advanced investment management software and know-how for the financial sector.
