BBA Aviation PLC18 January 2007 18th January 2007 BBA AVIATION PLC Board Changes Subsequent to its Board meeting yesterday, BBA Aviation announces the followingchanges: * Roberto Quarta has decided that now is the appropriate time to step down as Chairman. Michael Harper, CEO, has temporarily assumed the role of Executive Chairman. As previously announced the search for a new CEO is being actively pursued and on the appointment of a new CEO, Michael Harper will become non-executive Chairman. * David Rough, having served as a non-executive director since 1998, will retire from the Board at the AGM on 26th April 2007. He will be succeeded as Senior Independent Director by John Roques, and as Chairman of the Remuneration Committee by Mark Harper. * Nick Land will assume the chairmanship of the Audit Committee from John Roques on 1st March 2007 following the announcement of the 2006 preliminary results on the 27th February 2007. Roberto Quarta said: "My long association with BBA has been very rewarding and Iwould like to thank the many colleagues who made it a special place to work. Iam also grateful to the Board and shareholders for the leadership opportunitiesgranted me. A year ago I postponed my planned retirement, but with Fiberweb now successfullydemerged, and increasing business commitments demanding more of my time, I havedecided to step down after thirteen years on the board. I am confident I leaveBBA Aviation in good hands and good health." Michael Harper said: "On behalf of the Board, I wish to thank Roberto for hissignificant contribution to BBA. Roberto has played a major role in thedevelopment of the business first as CEO and then as Chairman.
