Board changes

Firestone Diamonds plc (AIM: FDI), the new diamond producer with operations focused in Lesotho, is pleased to announce that Patrick Meier has joined the Board as a non-executive director, effective immediately.

Patrick Meier has 25 years of experience in mining and is currently Chairman of Anglo Pacific Group plc. Between 1982 and 2014, Patrick spent his career with Royal Bank of Canada (Europe) Limited, latterly as Head of European Investment Banking.

The Company also announces that Debbie Thomas and Mike Wittet have stepped down from the Board.

Lucio Genovese, Non-Executive Chairman, said: "I am delighted to welcome Patrick Meier to the Board. Patrick brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the mining sector, having been an adviser and financier to numerous companies over the past 25 years. He will be a valuable addition to the Board as we look at ways of continuing to strengthen the Company's financial position following the recent refinancing.

"I would also like to thank Debbie and Mike for their services to the Board of Directors over the past several years during a key part of the Company's transformation into a major diamond producer." 

Information regarding Patrick Meier to be disclosed under Schedule Two, paragraph (g) (i)-(viii) of the AIM Rules for Companies:

Directorships currently and previously held by Nicolas Patrick Henderson Meier (aged 68) are as follows:

· Anglo Pacific Group plc (2015 - current)

· Royal Bank of Canada (Europe) Limited (2005 - 2014)

Mr Meier was also a director of a private company, Brierywood Limited, which went into receivership in 1981.
