Board change
Greene King today announces that Ian Bull, group finance director, will leave the company following the announcement of the Preliminary Results on 30th June 2011 to take up the position of CFO at Ladbrokes plc.
Ian joined the company as group finance director in January 2006, and has played an important role in driving the performance and continued success of Greene King since then. He will leave Greene King in a strong position both financially and operationally.
Matthew Fearn (aged 46) will be joining as group finance director and a member of the Board on 1st September 2011. Matthew is currently CFO of Brakes Group where he has worked since 2007. In that time he has helped build Brakes Group into the leading European foodservice company. Matthew has extensive leisure sector and listed company experience as the former group finance director at De Vere Group plc, following several years at Whitbread Plc in a variety of finance based roles.

Ian will be staying until the announcement of our results in June after which he will leave with our sincere thanks and very best wishes for the future.
At the same time, I am very pleased that Matthew Fearn is joining the team. Matthew has extensive experience in consumer-facing leisure and food businesses and we look forward to him helping us continue to drive our exciting growth and development plans."
