Great Portland Estates PLC28 April 2005 Board Change Great Portland Estates plc, the central London property specialist, announcesthat John Whiteley, finance director, is to leave the Company by mutualagreement. Mr Whiteley, who has been finance director since 1995, has played a significantrole in the restructuring of the business and has decided that after ten yearsin his current role it is time to pursue other opportunities. He has agreed tostay with the Group until 31 July 2005. Richard Peskin, Chairman, said: "John has played a vital role during his tenyears as finance director of Great Portland Estates, and particularly in thelast five as the capital structure of the Company has been radically reshaped.On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank him for his hard work and we allwish him well in his future endeavours. On a personal note, I shall miss hisYorkshire wit and grit." John Whiteley commented: "I have thoroughly enjoyed my ten years at thefinancial helm of GPE, and I leave it with its finances in excellent shape. Thetransformation of the Group, carried out over the past five years, is nowcomplete, and this is the natural moment for me to take the opportunity topursue fresh challenges elsewhere."
