("LGO" or the "Company")

Board Change

Leni Gas and Oil plc, the international oil and gas production, development and exploration company today announced that Jeremy Edelmen, an Executive Director, has advised the Company he will be stepping down from the LGO Board effective from the 23rd December 2010, in order to focus on other business interests overseas.  

 

Mr. Edelmen has been a Director of LGO since the IPO in 2007. The Board has already commenced a search for suitable directors to complement the skills of the existing team with a focus on further strengthening the oil and gas sector experience of the Board and expects to announce the appointment of a non-executive director during the first quarter of 2011.

 

David Lenigas, Chairman, commented:

"We are naturally sad to see Jeremy step down from the Board, but are extremely grateful for his contribution over the last 4 years, during which he has played a major role in helping us establish the company. We wish him the very best of luck in his future endeavours."

Following this change, the Company's Board of Directors comprises:
