Parity Group PLC08 February 2006 8 February 2006 Parity appoints Alwyn Welch as Chief Executive Parity Group plc ("Parity" or the "Company"), the IT services Group, announcesthe appointment of Alwyn Welch as Chief Executive with effect from 13 February2006. Alwyn Welch, 48, has over 25 years experience in the technology sector in the UKand internationally. He joins Parity from Unisys where he has worked sinceNovember 2004 as Vice President and General Manager in the United Kingdom,Middle East and Africa, as well as Managing Director of Unisys Limited. Prior to joining Unisys, Alwyn was Chief Executive of Cap Gemini's Nordic Regionfrom December 2002 to November 2004 where he led a turnaround of the business infour countries. He was also Head of Business Development for Northern Europeand Asia Pacific from January 2004. From December 1998 until February 2001 hewas CEO of Cap Gemini's UK and Asia Pacific Region having joined Hoskyns plc in1988. Amongst other senior roles in the sector, he was previously a member of theExecutive Board of Logica plc responsible for North and South America,Management Consulting and Financial Products and was Chairman of the IT NationalTraining Organisation in the UK in 1999 and 2000. He was also a director ofBrainspark plc. At Parity, Alwyn will be responsible for the day to day running of the business,working alongside Executive Chairman, John Hughes, who will continue to focus onthe implementation of the Company's rebuilding programme. Commenting on his appointment, John Hughes, said: "We are absolutely delighted to have secured someone of Alwyn's calibre as ournew Chief Executive and his appointment is a very positive forward step forParity.
