Board Appointments

Journey Group plc announces the appointment of two Executive Directors. 

Joseph Golio, President of Air Fayre CA Inc based in Los Angeles, and Carl Fry, Interim Chief Financial Officer, have joined the Board today as Executive Directors.

An industry veteran, Joseph has held a number of key roles within the airline catering industry. He began his career with Dobbs International in 1978. After rapidly progressing within the organisation he became Regional Vice-President for Dobbs International from 1990 to 1998 when he was promoted to Vice-President & Managing Director, responsible for thirty nine catering kitchens, all servicing United Airlines. During 2000 to 2001 Joseph was Senior Vice-President of North America West Operations for Gate Gourmet. In 2001 Joseph took the position of Executive Vice-President & Chief Operating Officer for the exhibition group Exhibit Group/Giltspur.

During his time in the airline catering industry Joseph has been influential in a number of airline related productivity and growth initiatives and latterly was instrumental in the start up and delivery of Air Fayre CA Inc's facility in Los AngelesUSA serving United Airlines' international and domestic flights. Joseph has a B.S. in Business Administration and Economics from Wagner College.

Carl Fry, has been Interim Chief Financial Officer of the Company since January 2008 and has significant experience of serving on the Boards of both publicly listed and private companies. Until 2007 Carl was Group Finance Director of former private equity-owned Telecity Group, which he joined following its merger with Redbus Interhouse plc in January 2006. He became Group Finance Director of Redbus in 2000 where he devised and executed a robust cost control strategy. From 1995 to 2000 he was Group Finance Director of Creston plc where he was responsible for restructuring the business.

Carl is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and is a graduate of Southampton University where he attained a first class honours degree in Mathematics.
