Appointment of Non-Executive Directors
Cenkos Securities plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeffrey Hewitt and Peter Sullivan to the Board as Independent Non-Executive Directors of the Company with effect from 23 June, 2008.
Jeffrey Hewitt was Group Finance Director of Electrocomponents plc from 1996 to 2005 and Deputy Chairman from 2000 to 2005. Prior to that, he was the Finance Director of Unitech plc from 1991 to 1996. Between 1981 and 1991 he held directorships successively with Carrington Viyella, Vantona Viyella and Coats Viyella (where he was Group Strategy Director). He stated his career with Arthur Andersen where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant, following this he spent seven years with the Boston Consulting Group.
Jeffrey will also be appointed as the Chairman of the Audit Committee.
Peter Sullivan was previously the Chief Executive Officer for Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited and was responsible for the Bank's daily business and operations. He joined Standard Chartered in 1994, having previously spent fourteen years with Citibank where he was Regional Director of Cash Management Services for Citibank Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Peter will also be appointed as a member of the Audit Committee.
