Morgan Crucible Co PLC18 February 2005 18th February 2005 Board Appointments The Morgan Crucible Company plc is pleased to announce the appointment of MrSimon Heale (51) as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediateeffect. Mr Heale is Chief Executive of the London Metal Exchange and a Directorof LCH. Clearnet Group. He qualified as an accountant in 1978 with PriceWaterhouse and has had extensive experience in the Far-East having held seniorpositions with the Swire Group in Japan and Hong Kong and with Jardine Flemingin Hong Kong. Mr Lars Kylberg, Chairman, commented "we are very fortunate to have someone ofSimon Heale's experience join the Board particularly given our continuingexpansion into the Far East". Morgan Crucible has also announced the appointments of Dr. Hartmut Eisele (51)and Mr Mark Lejman (48) as Executive Directors with effect from 1st March 2005. Dr. Eisele who has a PhD in physics joined Morgan in April 2003 and is the ChiefExecutive Officer of the Group's Magnetics Business. He has previously heldsenior positions with Alcatel. Mr Mark Lejman has a BA Honours degree in Russian and Spanish and prior tojoining Morgan in February 2004 held senior positions with Courtaulds plc andAcordis. Mr Lejman is the Chief Executive Officer of the Group's CarbonBusiness.
