Board Appointment

 

Amala Foods Plc (LON: DISH), is pleased to announce the appointment of Simon Grant-Rennick to the Board as an Executive Director with immediate effect.

Mr Grant Rennick is a graduate of the Camborne School of Mines. His expertise encompasses not only mining and minerals but also metals, agriculture and property. He has managed mining companies, both public and private, in Uganda and in Malawi; metal trading businesses in Bermuda and in the UK; was a co-founder of Industrial Mineral Finance House which provides consultancy services covering all aspects of the industrial minerals' sector, and established a property development business (since sold).

 

Simon maintains a number of Board and management roles varying from mining enterprises in Botswana, Malawi and Mexico; and in agribusinesses producing macadamia nuts, paprika and chilli, in sub-Saharan Africa. A complete list of Simon's current and previous directorships held over the past five years are listed below.

 

Simon's current directorships are:  Evrima Plc, Globe Capital Limited, Everest Global Plc, Imara Gold UK Plc, Imara Gold Plc, DOB Capital Limited, Trevelo Holdings Limited, Selection Mines Limited, ASP Corp Ltd, IMFH Limited, Langley Court Properties Limited.

His previous directorships over the past five years are: African Tree Nuts Ltd, Igraine Plc, 5-11 Cheyne Gardens RTM Company Limited, Caracal Holdings Limited, Tap Global Group PLC, Elk Investments Limited, All Active Asset Capital Plc, UK Defence Industries Limited, Trans-Africa Energy Limited, Rangemaster Precision Arms Limited, Gunmakers Hall Limited, Just Bee Honey Limited, Hellenic Dynamics Plc.

Furthermore, the Company announces the resignation of Aidan Bishop as a Director of the Company, who will continue to assist the Board as required.

The Company has been making progress towards identifying a suitable transaction that may lead to a Reverse Takeover and will update the market in due course.
