Manfred Maus co-founded OBI, the DIY retailer, in 1970, where he was ChiefExecutive Officer until 2000 and Chairman of the Supervisory Board from 2000 to2004. Today, OBI is one of the largest DIY retailers in Europe, employing 38,000staff and generating turnover in 2006/2007 of EUR 7.1 billion.
